Local SEO Checklist for Dubai Clinics and Dental Practices [2026]

Short answer

For a Dubai clinic, local SEO means a complete Google Business Profile, accurate details everywhere, genuine reviews, clear service and doctor pages, a fast bilingual website and easy WhatsApp booking, all measured by calls and appointments.

Patients choose a clinic from the map results, the reviews and how easy it is to book. This checklist covers the local SEO basics for clinics and dental practices in Dubai, in the order we would work through them.

1. Google Business Profile

  • Choose the most specific primary category, for example "dental clinic" or "dermatologist".
  • Use your real name, address, phone and hours, including holiday hours.
  • List each service with a short, plain description.
  • Add real photos of the entrance, reception and rooms. Avoid patient photos unless you have written consent.
  • Add a booking or WhatsApp link.

2. Reviews

  • Ask satisfied patients right after the visit, with a short link or QR code.
  • Reply to every review, in the reviewer's language, without sharing medical details.
  • Never buy reviews or reward positive ones.

3. Consistent details everywhere

Keep the same name, address and phone number on your website, Google, Apple Maps, Bing Places and health directories. Differences confuse patients and search engines.

4. Service pages

Create one page per main treatment with a clear description, who it is for, what to expect, preparation, aftercare and FAQs. Write for patients, not search engines, and have a clinician review the medical content.

5. Doctor pages

Show each doctor's name, specialty, qualifications, languages spoken and licence details where appropriate. These pages build trust and help search engines connect the clinic with real professionals.

6. Location pages

If you serve several areas, add a page for each with real local information: how to get there, parking, nearby landmarks. Do not clone one page with the area name swapped.

7. A fast, bilingual website

Most searches happen on phones. Keep pages light, make buttons easy to tap, and offer proper English and Arabic versions linked with hreflang tags.

8. Easy booking

Offer a short booking form, click-to-call and WhatsApp. A WhatsApp assistant can answer routine questions and collect details, with staff taking over for anything clinical.

9. Structured data

Use suitable schema types such as MedicalClinic or Dentist with name, address, phone, opening hours and links to your profiles. It must match what is visible on the page.

10. Compliance

Healthcare advertising and patient data are regulated. Check current rules with the relevant health authority before publishing claims, offers or photos, and handle personal data in line with UAE data protection law.

11. Measure what matters

Track calls, WhatsApp clicks, form submissions and booked appointments, not only visits. Review Google Business Profile performance monthly.

What to put on a treatment page

  • A plain-language summary of the treatment and who it is for.
  • What happens at the appointment, step by step.
  • Preparation and aftercare.
  • Who will treat the patient, with a link to the doctor's page.
  • Honest information about risks and alternatives, reviewed by a clinician.
  • FAQs, a booking button and a WhatsApp link.

Replying to reviews

For positive reviews, thank the patient and mention something specific without revealing health details. For negative reviews, respond calmly, apologise for the experience, avoid discussing the case in public and offer a direct contact to resolve it. Never argue, and never confirm that someone was a patient.

A simple monthly routine

  1. Week 1: check Business Profile details, hours and messages; add new photos.
  2. Week 2: ask recent patients for reviews and reply to all new ones.
  3. Week 3: publish or update one treatment or doctor page.
  4. Week 4: review calls, WhatsApp clicks, direction requests and booked appointments, and note what changed.

Tracking set-up

Track calls from the website and profile, WhatsApp clicks and form submissions as separate events, and ask reception to note how each patient found you. Compare these with the appointment book so you know which channel brings real patients.

Common mistakes

  • Keyword-stuffed business names.
  • Different phone numbers on different sites.
  • Medical claims with no review by a clinician.
  • Ignoring reviews.

Frequently asked questions

How do clinics get more Google reviews?

Ask every patient who is happy with their visit, right after the appointment, with a short link or QR code. Reply to every review, and never offer rewards for positive reviews.

Can a clinic advertise offers and before-and-after photos?

Healthcare advertising in the UAE is regulated, and rules differ by emirate and by service. Check the current requirements with the relevant health authority before publishing offers, claims or patient photos.
